  1. What with the start of term and some bus wars breaking out in Manchester,
my commute has suddenly become infested with buses. So far on my commute
the greatest number overtaken is 32*, and it's just a 15 minute trip!

Um, has anyone been bored enough to count the cars?

*That's 32 net e.g. if one overtakes me that would reduce the total by one.

Where do you travel from and to?

During the Labour party conference a friend got off the bus at the RNCM
and decided to walk to Piccadilly Gardens as it'd be quicker; he
overtook 60 buses on foot as he trundled up Oxford Road!

My route starts at the southern end of Fallowfield and goes up Wilmslow
    Road/Oxford Road until All Saints.

Even during the normal rush hour it's quicker to walk home than get the
bus. Still, at least they're cheap (£2 for a weekly pass, anyone?)

Sounds like a good way to cause such congestion that the car drivers
get fed up and go buy a bicycle.
