  1. Nights are drawing in, stealth cyclists will be donning their
    camouflage and fiddling with their flickering LED lights. Here's a new
    idea: http://www.otherpower.com/hamster.html
    You'd just need a big bar bag and a supply of special nut mix. And it'd
    be company on a long ride.

    "will be"?? They already are! Sometimes you can see their candle
    flickering in the breeze!

    OTOH, approaching a sharp bend on the cycletrack the other morning, I
    saw an approaching light, lighting up the hedgerow and trees. I was
    getting all fired up to be obstructive to the motorbike coming along the
    path, and it turned out to be another cyclist with Blackpool
    Illuminations on the front of his bike!

    But the reason that there's nobody there now but a whole lot of mice
    might be because someone's bought all the Hamsters for their lights.
    After all why else would it be called Old Hamsterdam in the first place?
