I have never done this so hope somebody will check it for me.
Front wheel 36 spokes 4X
Rim is a 27" and after much measuring I find:
*** outside diameter of rim average 25.25" ==> 25.25*25.4 = 641.35mm *** Depth from rim edge to bottom of nipple slot = 11.5mm *** Diameter = 641.35 - 2*11.5 = 618.35 ~ 318mm
The holes in the rim are offset each side of center by 1mm
The hub has 2.6mm holes drilled on a 62.6mm diameter, center to center.
The hub flanges measure 65.5mm inside to inside and 71.2 outside to outside. So they are (65.5 + 71.2)/4 = 34.2mm off centerline. Since the rim holes are 1mm off, it seems the spoke offset should be 33.2mm
I get 314.6mm
The hub was on an old steel rim which has gone to the recyclers. The old spokes measured 306mm.
