  1. I've recently started eating Powerbar Gels on rides. They seem to work really nicely. My question is, will I be better off with or without caffeine? They make some with and some without. I've tried both and can't really tell what is best. Theoretically, what should work better?

  2. if your using creatin better without

  3. Is creatin even UCI legal?

  4. are u a pro racer i dont know...

  5. From my old weight training days, I remember being told not to consume creatine at the same time with caffiene as it neutralises creatine.

Have you tried using the gels over a vary ride distances and times?

I am a regular coffee drinker I know if I drink alot of coffee during a certain period, caffiene becomes less affective or has little affect on me. I find caffiene gels are a great pick me up on a first hit for the day.

I found the difference more noticable on longer rides. When I am doing a ride 3-4hours on a mtb. For me caffiene free works better as I find the energy levels are more consistant and no energy spikes. After a ride I hit the wall alot harder on caffiene gels. Caffiene is a stimulant rather than and energy source. It can become addictive?

I consume non caffienated gels every 25-30 minutes i find it gives me a consistant energy level without the rollercoaster affect.

Everyones physiology, diet etc.. is different, if it works its fine I geuss.

No...I was just wondering if creatin is even legal for racers? Is it considered a roid?

It is legal, though not helpful.
