Hi guys, I am new here and would like to ask a qwestion. I own a 1975 Legnano 10 speed which I use for touring our Island. I have just reconditioned it ( My Father) the problem is that I have tubulars on it and I would like to change to the modern wheels. the problem is can I fit a new generation wheels on my legnano or they are wider as I don't whant to buy a set of wheels then finding that they do not fit in my frame. thankyou all for helping, and keep on biking.....🙂

Your reply was sent to my e-mail at which point I reviewed my original reply. It is very unclear. I assumed you may have some sort of frame with 120mm spacing since they were common in the 1970's. The purpose of getting a 126mm hub and changing to a 5 speed freewheel would be to use a shorter spacer on the right of the axle, going back down to 120mm between the locknuts.
A simpler solution would be to get a bike shop to put your old hubs in new clincher style rims.
