They already have to special order his hats.
Great rider though.

olympic gold helmet ?Ghastly?! Au contraire, mon ferret. It's beyond the financial
resources of most riders to have a fully matched bike and accessories.
Replicating decals, changing sponsorship, etc., drive up the cost.
Running down to the local hardware store to buy a can of gold spray
paint is a cheap and effective way to have perfectly matched
accessories. It also helps to camouflage stolen bikes. Very chi-chi
in inner cities. The Dutch do it with yellow bikes.R

I hate to say it, but I think it looks pretty good.

6/oct06/zurich06/16It is kind of busy, but it looks better than the all gold version from most
angles I've seen it from.--

6/oct06/zurich06/16JT, that makes you king of the aesthetic dumbasses. Bettini, as the guy
who wears it, is your emperor.I would give my eyeteeth to have the kind of palmares required to
legitimately earn all those insignia, but the result is so bad as to
spawn a neologism:Bettini helmet: noun.
1. An object, however earned, so ugly that it inspires awe
2. Any circumstance so disastrous it begs comparison to Paolo Bettini's
nine-colour helmet.Usage:
1. "Colnago showed a machine at Interbike painted by Thomas Kinkade. It
was a Bettini Helmet in light."2. "So, at the first obstacle of the cyclocross race, Matt Chater failed
to dismount and fell between the barriers in the middle of the pack.
After that it was a total Bettini helmet."--
