    Question time!🙄

    I've just installed Speedplay Zero. upon reading the instruction, it says to grease into the grease-port-hole. It has caution not to use oil or spray lubes on bearings.

    Now as I was suggested I got myself 3in1 Whilte Lithium Grease (see picture below)

    So far I use this grease on my pedal thread.
    Can I use this grease into the grease porthole for the Speedplay Zero pedals? (see below)

    Since the White Lithium Grease is a spray, it is still considered grease, yes... or no? or is it lubricant? So far a grease for me is that oily clear/white thick paste.

    And how much should I apply the grease?

    Spray some on your hand, its grease!

    If these pedals are new they should not need attention for 6 months, only then if noisy, a short spray of grease in each will then do.

    The bike shops have a tube/gun of the same stuff. PM me your e-mail address and I can fwd the pix of same. It would be about $25 for that set up.

    why would I need a gun. Bunnings does have that grease gun, but do I really need it? Can't I just use a long tube?

    And the pedal is second hand

    You'll need a mini grease gun to inject grease into the bearings and force the dirty grease out the backside onto the spindle. Inserting the spraycan tube won't do it; the white [censored] will just squirt back out at you. Real grease would be a better lube than the white lithium anyway for packing of bearings.

    The LBS shop here sells Pedro grease in a tube which screws into their mini-injector pump, for under $15. It's really convenient. Or, to go cheap, you could use automotive grease and inject with a 10cc syringe...those fit the pedal port just fine. I used the syringe about a year before springing for the Pedro's pump.

    When I asked Speedplay tech support, they recommended re-greasing every 1000 miles, although the webpage says 2000 mile intervals is sufficient.

    hey george, thanks for that link, you know how much it is? i was thinking to order Exus one from deanwoods.

    Sorry, no BiCorp price list, see your LBS.

    The Dean Woods one may be a few $$ more, but similar, yes. Either will lube those pedal bearings.
