New wheels required

I'd do just that, if cost didn't figure so prominently in my calculations,
however, I have to get back on the road as cheaply as possible.

Has anyone seen them or, better yet, used them, or can suggest
alternatives in a similar cost bracket?

I don't expect superb quality for the price, but the replacement will
need
to be serviceable for transport purposes, mostly on road but sometimes
towpaths or gravel tracks, occasionally with heavy shopping or a
(camping) touring load.

I'd be highly surprised if those wheels weren't perfectly OK. You might
want to stress-relieve and true them before fitting to the bike, because
the primary faults with cheap machine made wheels are said to be due to
the fact that they aren't stress relieved. Apart from that, they should
be fine.

drop-outs (mm OLN), in case you run into problems there as well.

Thanks. I've emailed EBC for info, although as these particular wheels are
stated to be for older machines (of which mine is one) I don't anticipate
any insurmountable difficulty.

For the price, the quality is probably better than you might imagine. I

Looks like they are similar. The rims are Rigida Chrina and very
strong. I'm hoping something will go wrong with them so that I have an
excuse to get something more glamourous, but despite a crash at 15MPH
into the back of a van - entirely my fault - they remain absolutely OK.
They're very good value IMHO.
