Not me, ta very much - completed mine on Sunday at the 6 Counties. A
hard 11 hours for me, lots of sunshine (topped up the cyclist tan a
treat ready for the autumn) but lots of headwind too. I hate headwind,
me. Still, another 2 FWC points :-)

As for RRTY, I intend to miss out a month now just to make sure the
madness doesn't take hold fully. I was chatting to a bloke on Sunday
that was on his 40th consecutive... sheesh and chapeau both at once eh?

I had intended to start this month and finish with the French Ride; but
will now finish in February on El Supremo's new Hailsham event (which
hopefully precludes riding Mad Jack Fuller), although I shall carry on
after that. BTW Permanents do count; the website shows the date you
completed. Added to the C+ century, metric century, AAA roll of honour,
Brevet 2000 (which I'll miss by one) and SR it does get a bit obsessive
I suppose.

It's not that bad; the hardest bits are Streatley, the Chiltern Hills
on the way back (which can be avoided if you like Saturday afternoon
Henley), and climbing the Ridgeway near Lambourne. Some of the route is
on the London - Oxford and it shares some route with the Upper Thames.

Done 11 consecutive randonees now, I mean randonees in 11 consecutive
months, Horseshoe Pass should see me complete my 12 and get the RRTY
or I might do a DIY perm 300 in October.

they are 200k variants of either end of his Tea Bag 300

Btw, I thought I had sent in an entry for the White Crown already but
have been in contact with the organiser and apparently he hasn't

chain to use the tugnuts properly so 73" it remains!!

I'm supposed to be packing in this audax lark... then of course there is
the as yet unknown influence my forthcoming career change will have on
my free time.

Still, Eureka is a really nice ride.

ummm.....me and a mate did 140miles the weekend before last, it was
the longest ride I'd ever done, a full 12 hour jobbie door to door,
and probably about as far as I can handle I think. I thought that was
it for the year, but being pretty local.......
Time to sleep on the idea.

very unlikely to fill up with a 250 rider limit; but El is a stickler
for no late or on the line entries (a policy I have allowed to lapse
this year for the MSH against his advice)
