Hi everyone, I'm about to buy my first road bike and am stuck between two different possibilities. Keep in mind that I am just starting out so I have absolutely no gear or anything yet.
The first option is a 2006 Felt F75 that's never been ridden. With is is included carbon watter bottle cages, bike pump, Look Keo sprint pedals, a helmet, and a bunch of tools for maintaining the bike. I would be getting that one for $850.
The second option is a 2005 CAAD 8 Cannondale R1000. This bike has about 300 miles on it and has a very small dent in the top tube that will be fixed before being sent to me (I requested that). The bike has shimano pedals, and comes with a helmet and shoes. I would be getting this one for $950.
I can't decide if I'm better off taking the unused bike over something that has mileage and a dent in the top tube. I don't know how big of a difference the components will make and what not. Keep in mind that although the Felt is unridden, it is still being purchased from a private seller so the warranty wouldn't transfer. Ok, any help that you could give me would be great. Thanks a lot.
