centaur FD

  1. Ok, ya I goofed bought a Centaur FD off ebay and realized it's a
    braze-on rather than clamp. Will it be possible to convert this over.
    Looked at the exploded view of the deraillar and it looks to be a
    fairly simple task, how about it group?

    Buying an adapter might be easier and cheaper. Available from Campy and
    others. --D-y

    icycleusa.com has adapter clamps (but not for 1 1/8" seat tubes). Look
    under deralleurs.

    Also, both Campy and Shimano make such clamps.

    It would be simpler to just buy the right size adaptor clamp for your
    seat tube and put the braze-on front derailleur onto the adaptor clamp.
    The items below from Campagnolo, QBP Problem Solvers, and Shimano
    should meet your requirements.

    Thanks guys, figured there would be a fairly simple way of curing the problem.
