  1. I've got a 7 speed sachs clickbox that is stuck inside.

Can I open the thing and lubricate it, or just smash it with a hammer? 😠

If I want to replace it, how do I remove it from the cable, so I can attach the new one?

Is there a helpful website which will explain how these things work and how to maintain them?

    thanks

  2. Try http://www.sram.com/

You could open it up and have a go. They are about $10 here in Aus, so no great cost if you stuff it up. Its more likely to be a frozen cable though. 😉

  3. I'd like to open it up, but can't figure out how. I've been to the SRAM site, but they don't show the internals of the thing. It seems that it's a sealed unit (the clickbox), but I at least have to disconnect it from the cable if I want to replace the thing. But HOW?
