  1. I am devastated about this atrocity. I tried to run for Governor until they asked me to disclose my
income. Although my campaign was brief, I really wanted to stop the decline of my beloved
California. I am in mourning - the Terminator as Governor. What has happened to this country?

i don't know about that. i mean, i can't say i'm really in tune with what Arnie's political views
and platform are all about (no need, since i live in Canada), but i am sure there are worse people
out there to have as governor. he's a smart, ambitious man, as we have seen in his rise from a
nobody from Austria to one of the most recognized faces/names in the world. and his "indiscretions"
of the past shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Damn that democracy again. The guy got elected according to the constitution. We've got to stop this
atrocity from happening over and over.

I suppose you'll try to tell us GWB was elected too?

GWB, got elected, too, yup, but it was so incredibly close as to defy statistcis. Could have gone
either way just by the error of measurement.

Arnold won easily...fair and square...according to the law.

Am I missing something ? Is that not the case ?

He was not elected, he was appointed by the supreme court.

If you really believe Bush was elected, I'd suspect missing grey matter.

  9. Didnt he star in "The Running Man" movie (1987)? That might even make this a relevant posting.

Bush received 271 votes and Gore 266.

Somebody had to win. It was close enough to go either way. Bush had slightly more votes when Florida
    election law was followed.

It just as easily could have been Gore. But, when the votes were counted and recounted, Bush had
    more...thus he won.

If Gore had ended up the winner, there would have been just as many sour grapes on the other side.

Arnold, though, clearly won, fair and square. Clearly the will of the people made him governor.
