Saris claims that the PowerTap computer can be used as a cyclocomputer when not using the hub, but I'm wondering how the speed data is communicated to the computer with the power tap wheel removed, as there seems to be no front wheel sensor or magnet included with the kit I just purchased. I haven't had a chance to hook it up yet, but it would seem to me that once I change wheels I will no longer get speed/trip time/distance, etc.? Is this incorrect? Thanks in advance.

You have to attach a wheel magnet to the rear wheel. The sensor is in the normal powertap sensor.

I have added the magnet, but can only get speed data, not heartrate. Can you do both at the same time?
