I just ran my first marathon a little over two weeks ago and haven't run since. For about two days
after the marathon the outside of my knee was quite sore but went away. Last night I tried to go out
and run but couldn't even do a mile because my knee kept feeling like it was locking up on the
outside and felt like something needed to pop to relieve pressure. It is on the outside of my left
knee and doesn't hurt at all when I'm not running. There doesn't appear to be any swelling but when
I put my fingers against the side of my knee and bend it I can feel and sometimes hear it pop.
Anyone have any ideas on what this could be....I'm thinking runners knee or itbs but not sure how to
overcome this setback. I really want to get back out there and start running again.
