New flip trick to the scene. I know, I know, same old to a lot of you. I took a hot trick from today's standard (I think only a few can do the trick) and crankflipped it. Full varialflip. Footy tonight.
hint: Dan Heaton's U2 trick, crankflipped.
-Shaun Johanneson
p.s. It's in a little video I made for Isaac Lemasters and Connor Helsur. Thanks for filming Connor.

Trying my best to impress. It seems that some people think that flips are becoming "trick spam". I just think it's a way to make old school easy street harder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ unifreak7's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/6137 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/52067
seat out to seat out 180\180 - Small spin 180\360 - Big spin 180\540 - Huge spin 180\720 - Never been done
seat in to seat out 180\180 - Varial 180\360 - Full Varial 180\540 - Never been done 360\180 - 360 varial 360\360 - Never been done
Tonight we are also filming late night sess. So there will be two vids here shortly.

That wouldn't make much sense. Seat in to seat out, not seat out to seat in. And also that could be a bigflip, or an inward smallflip, or inward bigflip.
-Shaun Johanneson
p.s. And because taking away that trick to its bases wouldn't make any sense. What is that trick then, without the flip. 180 trey flipless. hmmm.

hey man, i relly think you should just post after you have the vid!!! im looking forward to seeing this trick though but i think it will be pretty pointless because the uni will spin to fast to see the flip, i guess we'll see.

You made that sound almost logical, except for that treys don't need to be seat out to seat in.
petey boy you're forgetting something. You can't judge these tricks on their names or their difficulty if you can't do them. It stops there.

Thats a really good point Mr. Johanneson....Pete you might just want to leave this one alone, Shaun knows what hes talking about. Think how many other tricks he has landed first and named... Shaun is one of, if not the best, tech street riders ever, so just let him do his thing and you do whatever you do...

I judge tricks on difficulty whether I can do them or not. The namings up to you shauny boy, I didn't mean to get in the way I just thought I had a valid point... 180 crankflips... 180 treyflips.
One point I did fail to mention (this is is my fault) is direction. I spin the uni clockwise, but rotate counterclock. If i were to call it what is it. It would have to be 180 blindtreyflip. Most people will rotate (hoptwist) opposite of the good direction to unispin. That makes it difficult to have the names the same from seat out to seat out, then to seat in to seat out. Since seat in to seat out will most likely actually be a persons blind unispin natural twist. While seat out to seat out will most likely be a persons blind twist natural unispin. That's my main reason to call these tricks differently. So the blind or not blind can be ignored. No worries.
-Shaun Johanneson
p.s. Connor Helser is a really good friend of mine, I'm dedicating a movie that i'm making to him and Isaac right now.

You might as well name all the tricks in spanish that way I have a better chance of remembering them and understanding the difference. On a sidenote I pulled a sick trey varial hickflip over an 8 set yesterday, but unfortunately it was supposed to be seat in to seat out, but I was only able to do seat in to seat back in and pull it out 2.73 meters later. I think the prevailing northeast winds affected my hangtime though. I've named it the dioflip. Vid coming eventually.
