hi everyone i am new to cycling. i just boughta a r400 and wanted to swap the stock forks to carbon i think i have 1" how could i be sure which size forks i need? thanks in advance for any help.

What brand and year of bike is it?
The fork "size" in inches refers to the diameter of the steerer tube. Modern road bikes use a 1 1/8" steerer, whereas older ones use 1".
If need be, you can still find 1" front forks around relatively easily.

it's a 2002 r400 i think it's a caad3 frame. if anybody knows what size of forks i need i would appreciate the info, thanks.

The spec sheet on that site says it has a 1" steerer.
