I'm looking to buy a set of racing wheels for this summer. I'm riding on Bontrager Race Lites right now but want a little something better when I start racing. I'm looking in the $800 range. I weigh about 150. I know Bontrager's line but know nothing about any other wheel brands. Like stated below, I'm riding on Campy. Any suggestions?

Go to a wheelbuilder and get a set built up.

I'm partial to Topolino C19 wheels, about that price. Bulletproof wheels.

Yup, I race Rolf Vigors myself. A wonderfully fast wheel. I've seen them in the 850 - 900 range.
Here's a nice deal: $868 with free tires and free shipping.

I use Rolf Vigor RS. Very fast, climb great, very stable. -
Hand built Open Pros with Record hubs. ~$400 - $450. Durable. Repairable. This is the smartest option.
For bling purposes, which is 90% of what people buy wheels for these days, you can pick up a pair of Eurus for less than $600 from 11speed.com. About $500 if they still have the 2005 Eurus available.

If you buy any FSA rear wheel, have the cassette free wheel mech serviced straight away. I've heard numerous times the free wheel mech comes under lubed and it runs VERY loud, but putting some grease on it solves the problem and then the wheels run well.

FSA's wheel quality reputation certainly does not inspire confidence. They also have a well earned reputation for lying about the weight of their products.Campy wheels have a bulletproof rep. So do Mavic's.
