  1. Much more hilly than the Fenland Flight (duh) and done on Galaxy
instead of Trek 1000, yet faster. And unlike that ride, I feel human
immiediately after stopping, and could've gone on (perhaps not quite
ready for a 300 though). Met a nice French guy who I cycled with.
I'll try to do a proper RR tomorrow.

Tan Hill Challenge info arrived in the post today so will be studying
that in great detail and get my GPS tracklog made up ready. Must work
    out accomodation and travel options.

Make sure you hunt me down and say hello. I'll be on a yellow Merckx. I
have been looking at the route sheet, as we reformatted it to fit in a
A6 route sheet holder, I know all of the hills, but strangely only
descended some of them. A good route in the Dales, harder than I first
thought, but still looking forward to it with relish. This ride falls
between the Bowland Grimpeur and The Other Fleet Moss Randonee, so I
hope my climbing legs are now properly tuned. After this weekends DIY
400, RR to follow, I am knackered and not really looking forward to much
more than a recovery ride !!

It's about 5 miles from the north end of York to the start, so staying
at the York YHA and riding out is an option. There's also plenty of
B&Bs at that end of town (or the centre)

    Cheers,

    Arthur

Climbing for the whole event: 2,325 metres, which is not enough for AAA points.

The 100 km section from Nosterfield just before Masham to Leyburn is 1,751m
of climbing, which just qualifies for 1AAA point.
