Landis vs Rasmussen, must have been a high speed sprint, or was it a
staged break :-)

I wish I could have seen the race. I missed it. I can't find any
information on it as of yet.

But he scratched for Chaam, reportedly on doctor's advice after pain
in the hip.

Clearly Landis simply gapped Rasmussen on the Cat 1 col in this crit
course.
Was beer involved?
Seriously, I'm charmed that something as quaint as the post-TdF crit
circuit still exists, and is taken seriously by current winners.

Money is involved. Always a reason to take things seriously for pros.

These 'sprints' are always fun to watch. It gives a new meaning to 'positioning
in the sprint' as the riders spend most time looking left and right with their fingers
on the brakes levers.

How much money? I guess it helps out the teammates, and I know the
yellow jersey winner often gives his winnings completely to the
teammates, but Floyd just picked up a Eur 400,000 paycheck for his work
in July.
What's the appearance fee at the Profronde van Stiphout?

For the Tour winner, should be more than e50,000. I'm not sure, Jeff
or Benjo will know.

Don't count your winnings till the drug test's clean.
Side issue: what does this do for all those people who bet on Landis to
win? What does it do for the more select bunch who backed Pereiro to
win?
