From what I can tell it looks like it will work with my machine but I don't know most of the terminology and know hardly any of the standards. All I can see is that the fork above will accept a 700c wheel, which is what I've got.
Can anyone tell me what I need look out for? Any other advice would be wellcome too, like how easy is it to fit the new equipment and is it worth the hastle.
That fork won't work There are four things to know: 1) Is the steerer tube the right diameter and length for your frame? In this case it also needs to be threaded. 2) Is the axle to crown distance correct? 3) Will it work with your brakes? You're going to need a fork with V/Cantilever bosses. 4) Is the rake the same? This one isn't quite as important.
While it's possible that you can find a cyclocross fork with the right threaded steerer, it's unlikely to be worth the effort and expense.
