I don't think electric butt plugs are what they had in mind.

I use the cho pat strip, unfortunately, on both knees. But I can now run for 90 mins+
without any pain. There was a series of recent notes of runners using the strip during
marathons (do a google search to find them)

  5. I'm a recent convert to the strap (not having gone to a Catholic school). I was diagnosed with
chondromalacia in my left knee, laid off and began the icing, NSAIDS and stretching and crossed my
fingers. When there was still appreciable pain on my first short run after the lay-off, I bought a
strap for the hell of it. I hadn't read that it could make things worse, so what the hell... I've
been back on track for a week and a half now without pain. I'm still icing and stretching, though
the Alleve consumption has gone down a bit (I don't want to screw up my kidneys). My suggestion,
which you must remember comes from a newbie training for his first marathon, is give it a try. If it
doesn't work for you, you're out sixteen bucks. If it does, it's a pretty good investment.

There's a support group for people addicted to their strapons. Go to "rec.straponaddicts"
