The wave to the Paris crowd by Ekimov was sooo cool. Tought he was doing one
of those early "Champs" unsucccessful breakaways...........but when he waved
to the crowd and returned to the pack and recieved congrats from the
peleton, I have to say has been the coolest thing to top off a great
Tour..............I remember seeing him in Richmond during the '89 Tour Du
Pont after he had kept up with Thuenisse on an earlier stage climb during
that race...........

around on the sign-in stand I started clapping without a word and it grew to
a HUGE applause with everyone being happy to see Eki back. He got an
embarassed look on his face and waved to the crowd which only made them clap
louder. -

I am a bit slowIsn't that the first requisite for telling us all how someone else should
have raced? -

I am a bit slow but I just realized who you really are...Forrest Gump.I was born about ten-thousand years ago.
There is nothing in the world that I don't know.
I saw Peter, Paul, and Moses
Playing 'Ring Around The Roses'
And I'll lick the man who says it isn't so.I saw Satan when he looked the garden o'er,
Then saw Eve and Adam driven from the door,
And behind the bushes peeping,
Saw the apple they were eating,
And I'll swear that I'm the guy what ate the core.Queen Elizabeth, she fell in love with me.
We were married in Milwaukee secretly,
But I schemed around and shook her,
And went off with General Hooker
To shoot mosquitoes down in Tennessee.....
