  1. hello, the bolt that secures my seat post cracked. Half is still screwed in. Is there a fix?

    Thanks

  2. is it in the frame, or is it a collar type clamp?

  3. It is in the frame.

  4. One thing you could do is get a very small drill bit, and slowly drill a hole into the bolt that is stuck. This way you could maybe break it, or make it weak.

Just be careful not to get the drill bit stuck.

  5. Thanks for the info....I am taking it into the shop tomorrow, probably the best thing to do!!! I know there is a way to drill it and then use another tool to unscrew it. I say leave it to the pros!!

    Thanks Bob

The tool is a screw extracter. And yes, leaving it to the pros is a good idea. It usually has to be hammered into the screw after drilling.
