The Open Day at Herne Hil went great. The weather wasn't with us, but the rain held off - only one
big shower. I think around 50 or so people who had never been on a track got their first taster,
which was what it was all about. A lot of people turned up in jeans and trainers - and got one
fine. Good for them. There were also enough little kids for a few sessions for them alone -
they're fearless!

ME, I'm less fearless. But now its over I'm proud of myself. I really didn't have time for that many
laps. The one thing that nearly did for me was wiping my nose - nearly fell off! And trying to
shoift position on the seat - eeek! I now have a great respect for track racers!
