Yeah I never thought Floyd would go back to Disco.
And he is loyal to the Phonak team, and they are loyal to him.
With so much uncertainty, negotiating with a new team with the hip operation was a non-starter.
It looks good for the team that he stays and that they support him.
(unlike Cofidis and Lance recall)
So its a win-win for everyone.

My typo - you're correct, it was CA and not Cofidis.

Landis only signed for one year. With his current bargaining power and upcoming hip operation, he should have signed for two or three. There is a good possibility he will not make it back to top form next Tour and he will be in a difficult position when looking for a 2008 contract.

Yeah, but wouldn't there be some sort of "performance clause" for a multi-year in a situation like this? Maybe a 1 year guaranteed contract it the best Floyd can get, considering his impending surgery.
