  1. By reading the tdf reports on Landis, I have found the reason for
Landis's inconsistency. It's beer drinking of all things. His performance
depends on how many beers he drinks the night before. Before his
spectacular win yesterday, he had just one beer. The disaster, he had more
beers, but the exact number I haven't been able to determine. It was
obvious to me, because I live in Arizona (hot), that his 10 minute fade was
due to dehydration. Alcohol dehydrates you, as we all know. Did you see
how much fluid he was drinking on the day he soared? He learned his lesson,
only 1 beer the night before, and drink like hell when it's hot. When I
passed him on the Tour de Tucson, it was obvious to me that he was
dehydrated, you learn in the heat to keep drinking. And watch how many
beers you drink the night before!!

  2. I thought they remarked that he had had a few beers after the collapse,
    not just one.

The commentators remarked on how much he was dunking himself with water
to keep himself cool, so the dehydration may have been external as well
as internal, assuming that's what his problem was.

I heard he was at a keg party with Bode Miller.

Dumbass, it's called the Fatty Liver theory. Right up there with the
    Adrenaline theory.

    Google "Fatty Liver" on rbr.
