  1. Bobke and Troutwig don't appear to know that they
    are on the air.

Are you talking about their comments when watching Dessel take a
    digger?

I didn't hear it clearly, but I would've sworn I heard Roll swear.

I think I heard Bobke let go the swear as well, and they
weren't interested in filling dead air.

Also, Troutwig was positively giddy about seeing Paul
and Phil and gloating a bit. He even imitated Phil. It was
priceless. For the first time, I kind of liked Trout - , ah,
    Trautwig.

I replayed it. They thought they were on a commercial break.
And yes, Bobke let one fly.

He said it alright--no doubt about it. I betcha the OLN hierarchy
probably feels lucky that it didn't get worse.

I'm outraged. I didn't see it but will write to the FTC anyway to
complain about that stations lax moral standards and its effect on
children and even on me if I had watched it. I shouldn't have to fear
my TV and curses like that, nor should any kids I might have in the
future. Children are our future. Please, won't anyone think of the
    children?

  8. That was funny. Just before that, they said they'd be back after the break,
but there was no commercial break. It continued with Trautwig giggling like
a little schoolgirl over Landis' ride... then Bobke saying "God DAMN!" after
Dessel crashed... lots of awkward dead air, then suddenly Trautwig COMES
BACK ON and becomes his on-air personality again.

So *that's* what they meant by 'extended prime-time coverage'!

I suspect the OLN producers decided to let it roll. Bobke did say,
"Goddamn!" I just thought it was a really good crash. 🙂

  11. Funniest moment of the tour was hearing trout scream like a girl. Whatever
happened to the petition to replace that guy with an actual trout?

Really the director's fault. If he doesn't push the right buttons and
cut to a commercial, they have no way to know they are still on the air.

It's worse than that. TdF coverage is full of wardrobe malfunctions.
Practically every day, there's a shot of some guy riding along with his
hiney sticking out. The neighbor kids think it's a blast. I invite
them over so they can watch. Nothing is funnier, to a kid, than seeing
someone else's hiney. Then I give them candy ... I'm ALWAYS thinking of
    the children.
