try ebay - you can often get better deals on new and even some slightlly used pedals

I too have had that problem with ebay. A word of advice if you will permit me, use a credit card and PayPal for ebay purchases.

When I got ripped off I contested the charges with my credit card company and they ultimately charged back PayPal. I got all my money back.

I had done all the right things having to do with fraudulent sellers on ebay, so when PayPal got upset about it and threatened to cancel my account I just showed them that ebay had failed me with their anti-fraud process. PayPal is owned by ebay so they let it go.

Once bitten, twice shy though. I'm still extra careful about whose stuff I bid on.

Sorry my word of advice turned into a bit of a ramble. I'm like that sometimes. 🙂

That probably depends a bit on where you live. I'm in North America and I mostly shop [on-line] at Nashbar and Performance. There are many others like Colorado Cyclist who have grown from a classic bike shop in to the catalog business and have since expanded on-line. Some of the local shops here have on-line stores.

If you just type in the part you want into any search engine you'll get plenty of links.

Don't overlook your local shop though. Many times they'll work with you on price if they know they're out of line. If they can't they'll tell you. It may still be worth giving them your business though because a) you are supporting a business in your community, and therefore your neighbor and b) they'll appreciate your business and reward you with intangibles you can't get from a website.

[[gotta rant a bit here... my local bike shop let me down this week. He promised me an order had been placed for a wheel and cassette and that it'd be in on Wednesday. It's Friday as I write this. 😠 He promised me he'd call with status 😠 No calls! When I called (once per day starting on Wednesday afternoon) I was told each time "I'll call you tomorrow. I'll call about the order right now." OK you probably get the picture...]]

My point is, if you're hanging with me still, that I may not have recommend so strongly to shop on-line tonight had this not happened. Factor in my perspective and recent experience please. There are very good local shops out there and price isn't everything.

I must go out this weekend and see if I can find another locally owned shop to 'belong to'.

I live in the us and i have checked out those sites, any other ideas?

I got a good deal on some new Look pedals on ebay for my first road bike. These are my first clipless pedals/cleats and so far I'm reallly liking them,

no, they're non-profit sites. I'd like to devote some energies to a cycling training site, and I may do one for myself for the fun and interest, but I doubt there could ever be any profit in it.

i love clipless pedals so much

execpt, when i forget to clip out and so i fall over sideways
