I think the poster was wondering about the scenario if a rider accumulated an insurmountable lead for those jerseys, which are determined by points, not time. Most everyone knows you have to finish the race to claim the final jerseys, but it wasn't a question that I think merited the "[censored]" label you're so fond of lately. :eek:

Actually, not really. Quite a legitimate question. Such modification to the rules have been considered repeatedly. Especially in cases where an unintentional withdrawal would occur such that the rider who was second place in points at the time of the withdrawal could not surpass the leader's points, even if they were to accumulate all of the available remaining points to be awarded.

I don't regard any question as stupid on a forum. It was a question about converting a flat bar and shifters' to a road bar and shifters that brought me to CyclingForums.com. I was promptly introduced to Boudreaux.

My post wasn’t meant to actually insult but it was nothing more than a tongue in cheek rebuttal to WBT’s [censored] reference.
