Yeah, I know. I rode in that little breeze today, but our gusts were a measly 26mph.😄

  3. Yeah,

I figured I was making between 300-400W to make the piddly 14 mph into the wind. No wonder my HR was over 90%. I did manage to get up to 18 mph for a few seconds before my heart exploded....

I love it. Lengthens all of my upwind L4 intervals. One of these days I want to do a 20min L4 interval within the distance of a city block (LOL).😄

I'd just want to do this at the START of a ride rather than the end.....

Generally, when I ride at work, I do a route that is about 15-18 miles N/S and 4-5 miles E/W. It's all loops or out and backs, with equal distances on those legs. Today, I rode loops on the E/W portion of the ride, with a few miles of N/S to get there. After a couple E/W loops, I got bored of riding leaning sideways into the wind and did 1 mile intervals into the wind, with 1 mile intervals with the wind (13-17 mph). Those were hell. I rode "on the rivet" until I blew up, 3-5 mins I'm guessing. I should have timed them, but I didn't have that foresight. When I turned around I was basically doing 21-22 mph with almost zero peadling. The worst part about that was there was realatively no wind, and with todays temps, WHEW!

Needless to say, I got my money's worth out of my body today.
