i was surpised about this jersey shopping the other day. on some, even an XL felt like a tight fit. on a bellweather, a L was large enough. is this due to u.s. (or canada) made jerseys vs. euro made jerseys?
i want to order a particular jersey that I cannot find at an lbs near me. but i'm worried about it not fitting.
In general, European jerseys are cut smaller than American ones of the same nominal size. Your best bet is to find out if the manufacturer has a sizing chart.
There are huge variations in size even within the Performance house brand jerseys. I have an XL full zip that is extremely tight and a L half zip that is loose.
General rule of thumb is that a US Medium is equal to a Euro Large and so forth. Also, as previously stated, race jerseys are going to be a bit tighter fit (more aero ya know) than a generic Performance club jersey.
