Sweaty Question

I've found that wearing a sweatband underneath my helmet helps keep the sweat out of my eyes. Not 100%, but much better.

Second that. Hot or cold I always wear one of those high-tech fabric liners to wick away the sweat. They work very well for me.

That and I got some better sunglasses, which have venting that actually works.

I bought one at the expo before the Palm Springs Century. Got up to 85 degrees (in Feb) and not one drop of sweat on my glasses...I sweat alot also, and these are great...you can still wear a skullcap as well...

As a low tech (and extraordinarily cheap) option, I've recently started using a sleeve cut off of an old t-shirt as a head band (usually folded in half once so there's double thickness of cloth around the entire noggin). Not particularily sexy, but it's within my minimal cycling budget, and underneath a helmet no one can really tell anyway. not a 100% fix, but HUGE improvement from my former waterfall of sweat.

Anyone ever try one of those du rags (sp?)? I know if you look on ebay they have a bunch of "pro" du rags. They cover the entire head and have a little tail on the back. I would think that would get hot on your head after awhile. I've also seen just a "cycling" sweatband. Pearl Izumi makes one but it seems too light to actually do anything.

My head stays just as cool as when I'm not wearing it, and there's a huge reduction in the amount of sweat running down my face.
