  1. Just got back from Aldi and bought two of the slong sleved shirts and two of the winter trousers for
my self and one of each for Gethin.

The shirts are Coolmax active and sized for normal humans not anorexic Italian teenagers. I bought
the XL and found that it was a little big without a vest underneath ( where as I'm in a XXL in
cycling shops) they have a rear zip and small bits of reflective ink. The Trousers have a chamois,
again Coolmax ,have a windproof front and fit the size they say on the label, two small change
pockets ( one with zip) 6 inch zip on back of each leg, elasticated and tie waist and small bits of
    reflective piping ink.

  2. The Unfit family stocked up at Aldi today. Got Nathan some of the winter trousers and a jacket
as he's short on the winterwear. I got a top, couple of pairs of longs & a jacket. Vertnon
treated himself to a top & a pair of longs. For the kind of cyclign we mostly do, the Aldi stuff
    is quite adequate.

    Cheers, helen s

  3. I got to the Fleetwood shop just after 9am. You cant get much further from civilisation than here!

There was opened packets all over the sales area and people almost fighting over the stuff. It
seemed as good quality as the summer stuff.

I only went for the winter gloves at £2.99, I picked two packs off the floor, tried them on and
left. At that price I can afford to lose one or damage it and still ride with warm hands. Mike

  6. Got two pairs of the cycling gloves, small for me and XL for the other half. My local branch had
ladies gloves from last week at 1.99 in a thin fleece type fabric, so got a pair of those as well.
They'll be just right for mornings now when it's slightly cool. Only seem to be available in one
size, probably supposed to be medium. The longs are not as generously sized as the shorts, so I
    didn't get any.

Loads of long sleeve jerseys and long trousers at the Chester branch this morning. Got two pairs
of each and a pair of warm gloves. All that cost me less than one pair of Nike shorts did earlier
    this year.

The XL jerseys are indeed large (46 - 48) - I normally go for XXL everything but these fit
comfortably. The trousers are a little bit tighter though... (38-40).

Would have taken them (well one of each, perhaps) out for a ride this afternoon, but its
    hailing here....

Don't worry, you'll be able to buy them on e-bay in a few days at twice the price ;-)

All sold out of longs here in Southampton. I got a very cheap pair of thinsulate gloves though.
