come to think of it it is not good for other drivers either. My sister
got hit in her van when she could have swore the oncoming driver saw
her. Still not paid damages and off work for a year, might lose her
job permanaently because of decreased capacity for an indefinite
period.
Never trust a driver no matter what they are telling you. Even when
they stop for me unnecessarily I make them drive through because I want
to promote proper driving behaviour. ie follow the rules at all times
so everybody is predictable, nobody needs to get hurt.

I'd like to see her do hard time for perjury and making a false statement
if indeed she's lying. That's in addition to getting her knickers sued
off.

Myabe if this kind of thing were publicised there'd be a little more fear
out there motivating drivers?

It seems that nowadays, most all the drivers are yaking on their cell phones
and driving with one hand on the wheel.
it is getting worse though, as the idiot drivers now mave text messaging.
there have already been some cases or accidents where the morons were text
messaging while driving at the same time. I suppose the new "watch a movie
or TV show" on your cell phone is another new thing to distract drivers even
more.

The people who keep track of such things say that talking on a hands-free
phone is just as dangerous as a hand-held phone, which is plenty
dangerous--comparable to driving drunk. I can see how it could be EVEN MORE
dangerous. When you look into a car and see the driver talking on a phone,
you can take extra precautions to protect yourself. If there is nothing to
see, you are vulnerable and helpless.
