It kind of suits me when I am in the lazy mode, running a 20/28 combo,
spinning like crazy and barely going faster than walking speed. Of
course I am not in a hurry since I know there will be more mountains to
attack, motivation willing.
I went to the site and it plays a little funny. I put in both Schwinn
(my road bike) and Mongoose (my dirty MTB) and came up with nothing.
Maybe the home page should have more ways to jump into some content.
I don't invest in Treks so if that was expected I can't go there.

site is a prototype and is not in use yet.

I posted to find out if people like the name GrannyRing.com. Judging
by the results of the poll, I think the answer is 'NO.'

I think I may have a renaming contest with some sort of prize.

nobody will admit to just going out and enjoying the 'outside' part of

Granny ring to me just means that after almost 100 miles my legs are too
damned sore to want to stand up an attack. I've been there more than
once and I can say that you don't use the granny ring until after at
least 20 miles of reasonably hard riding. Like most bikers, I have this
mental 'Sissy' block of using the granny ring right out of the gate.

Anyway, hanging an .org or .bus or one of the new proposed endings on
your site might be a way to open up some new possibilities, but people
might get, say, touringcyclist.com confused with .org.

Maybe you should offer a custom tee shirt to the winner for the final
name of the site. Material things, especially one of a kind, might make
some people give it some time. The winner would then have the ONLY first
shirt out and it could say "I named ??????.org" for bragging rights.
EPO I know (hope) you just put up as a joke, but I am hoping that goes
away soon, since I am tired of hearing about it.

Get a haiku generator program and seed it with "Cyclist" or "touring"
and limit it to one liners, then let it run over night. You would get
99% garbage but it might actually pop out something you could use or
modify for a name.
