Turn direction preference

I find it much more natural to turn left (both on bikes and unicycles).
I'll take a sharp left corner much faster on a bike without it feeling
dangerous, and I can turn much tighter to the left on a unicycle
without being all jerky. I'm right-handed (but just to confuse things
I hold the unicycle saddle handle with my left hand).

i turn much sharper and better to the left, i think its the proper way.
for example, every olympic sport thats done around a circuit is done
coutner-clockwise, which means you go to the left. here in australia
our ice skating rinks go counter-clockwise, and i can lean much better
to the left. i went ice skating in america and it was clockwise and i
had extreme trouble keeping up with the right hand turn bits

I'm in the same boat as you guys ... I'm right handed but am much
smoother turning left.

With me, its only affected when I am in the air, I am gonna work on
getting it good in both directions though, gotta be versatile. =p

a while i got just as good going both directions.

I am also right handed and prefer to turn left, as do all of my bike
riding friends.

This is the theory that my neighbor came up with: It has to do with
how the brain has evolved to protect the human body, just like reflexes
do. When going fast, the brain would rather make a fall on the side of
the body that is non dominant in order to protect the dominant hand
from getting mutilated and broken by the fall.

i like to turn to my right but i still am not terrific at doing u-turns
in small spaces. if i have to, i just do little hops in a circle. 😄
it's cheating, but whatever. when i do my little hops turn i have no
preference as to which direction i'm going.

i'm left handed , left foot forward, turn and spin to the right, right
hand on the handle. I like turning right on a bike also
