  1. my beloved SRM has stopped giving a power reading after 1 yr of use. the offset number is 0 when attempting the calibration, and watts are 0 whilst riding.

i'm guessing its in need of a new battery...no issues with sensor placement or cabling.

    questions:
    - 500 hours of use is half the "upto 1000" quoted on the srm site. what is other peoples experience? it's been abnormally hot here this week, has that maybe finished it off?

    - can it, technically speaking, be changed by the user, thus saving P&P to/from germany and downtime?

    - to those who have sent their cranks off, what sort of pricing and round trip time have you had?

    thanks.

i know i love it because i'm missing it already!....

  2. The battery can be changed by the user but it is an obscure battery that may not be available locally, requiring you to mail order it. To change it, you have to do a little soldering as there are wires soldered to the battery's pins.
