[1]Shimano claim PCD 74mm, I dont reckon it's an inch over 70mm and
that's what I laced for, but I'm no expert at this malarky yet.

The one I have appears to be about 78mm though it isn't a DH-3N30. Got
to get some spokes for the wheels (though it seems that both the front
and rear hub (Nexus 7) will build up identically so only one box of
spokes needed - 265mm methinks[1]. Not sure whether to err long or
short.)

You would be even happier if you had chosen a D'Lumotec front light.
They are really good. Full output at walking pace.

I had one in my hand, but I'll admit I bottled it. I've blown up rear
standlights before and it' an expensive game, so I felt happier with
filament front. I also *think* the filament gives out a few more
photons than the LED, but not much in it either way.

Did I mention I bought 3 sets of spokes before getting the right length?
One was a 26"/700C (I selected the wrong ZAC 19 from spocalc[1]) and
the other was just a brain blister.

I have a wheel I built with threads showing above the nipples and its
been fine, although a bit tricky to lace/tension, so for me, shorter
allows for a margin, but like I said, I'm no expert.

[1] With a bit of input from Damon I have improved this over the
original. Basic tarting up and a better system for entering data. Mail
me if you want a copy.

Be advised, however, that like many B&M products they are made from
Cheese. Due to a bracket made from Amazing B&M CheeseMetal(tm), one of
mine took an unscheduled flight across Sussex, which cracked the clear
plastic bit above the lens and, in the course of time, admitted a
quantity of H2O thereto. To the detriment of optical performance.

On finally replacing the Amazing B&M CheeseMetal(tm) bracket with
something confected from a Cateye seat-post clamp and a sturdy piece of
steel from a Box in Thee Shedde, the plastic bit of the light, through
which passes the mounting bolt, gave up the ghost towards the end of the
3 Coasts.

Said light now decorates the bottom of my dustbin, and I have refitted
the Schmidt E6...

I'd be more comfortable with slightly under-length than slightly over
too.
