From cyclingnews' report on the Belgian national championship:
"One rider who didn't start was Frank Vandenbroucke (Unibet), who was taken to hospital on Saturday suffering from stress"
Has not Unibet reached the end of the rope in regards with VDB? I thought they had given him a recent ultimatum. It looks to be the end of the line for a rider who was once regarded as a future giant.
sad news VDB couldve been one of greats of cycling.
VDB had been going well in the early part of the season.
Sorry to see this news.
Hate to say this, but VDB's career has been over for some time now.
I was reading the interview in procycling with Paco Mancebo describing how VDB destroyed the peloton on one stage of the Vuelta. It's a shame I'll probably never get to see him recreate something like that.
