  1. Hi,
Due to work and time constraints i am limited to about 1 hour per night of riding during the week and then 1 long (3 hours) on a saturday or sunday.

Currently i am doing 15 mins at 70-75% mhr as a warm up then 30 mins as close to 85-90% as i can manage then back to 15 mins at 70-75% as a cooldown, this is for the 1 hour rides, will this be effective to increase my fitness? Or should i be using my time differently?

You might want to consider some 2x20 threshold intervals a few times per week - very productive and also a bit more interesting !

Im trying to build the 3 hour ride up to the 50 miles, so i am riding it at least once a week.
