  1. I know these get old, but this one I must share.

For those that like to respond verbally to hecklers, maybe try this to put them in their place. It may be cheesy, but it worked today and it was GLORIOUS!

So, I'm riding around campus and there are all these soccer camps (hmm, maybe America's soccer future is here? UNLIKELY. Then again, the U.S. can't do any worse...). Anyways, so these people were walking and as I was passing them, I got a "Lance" remark. I simple returned, thanks "David Beckham". His reponse.

    "Touche"

    I thought it was hilarious.

So now, I've decided that whenever someone calls me Lance or something, I'm going to look at the context of what they are doing, and give them a famous person for their sport.

I apologize if this seems stupid, but today was good.

  2. What is the sport called where grossly obese smokers with two digit IQs sit and watch Jerry Springer or Cops? What about the most famous player? If no one can come up with one, this strategy will only work on about 5% of the hecklers I have seen, although clearly it was good for TrekD's situation today.

Here in Australia, calling someone "Norm" will probably give them the message 😄 (if they're over 25 years old or so)

(damn, now I'll have the "Life Be In It" TV-ad jingles going through my head all day..)

What about snooker? I seem to remember one of the pros fighting with the tax department because he wanted the 10 (?) pints of larger he drank every match to be a tax deductable business expense because it was an essential part of his job.
