An odd question i know but,i have a latex allergy,and apart from the obvious which is to wear gloves( i dont really like to as i find them uncomfortable) can anyone help me with finding some Latex Free grips.

You could use some cloth bar tape. Should not have latex.

If you're talking about mountain bike grips, then go to Wally World and buy some generic, black rubber grips.

Although it is possible that generic grips that you suggest are made from a synthetic material, the suggestion is not that helpful because latex is the major ingredient in rubber.

I am sure you are correct ... I just thought synthetic "rubber" was something called carbon-black (whatever that is) + some (plasticized?) polymer(s).
BROOKS makes leather grips ... I see them listed on eBay all the time.

Alfeng is correct... latex IS natural rubber... synthetic rubber is not... many types of rubber products mix the two in various concentrations from 100% natural rubber (100% latex) to 100%synthetic (0% latex) though so while you can be pretty sure cheap rubber has no latex, it may have a small amount(although I would bet cheap walmart grips have none).I second just using road bar cork wrap. Much more comfortable anyway.

im a latex allergy sufferer im type one and i got in to shock wiv the slightest touch or smell of rubber even if someone has touched a latex or rubber item i get a life threatening reaction so i know what what you go through. i use the fluffy strapping that you get rd tennis racket handles it works a treat i find i have to change them every 6 to 8 months but its worth it. i carry latex free gloves for any ounctures cos i cant find a latex free inner tube or repair kit anywhere. good luck with your findings 🙂
