If they can prove that, and it is typical of Pound, then this is yet
another reason for him to go. The fact that they tagged the insurance
Co. for an extra 2.5 Mil seems to me to say a lot about the evidence
and charges against Lance. It's pretty obvious that L'Equippe isn't
much better than the British and American tabloids, or more accurate
when they have a vendetta.
Now that some of the stuff has been released, hopefully Lance can get
everything released and made public. Not a lawyer so I don't know on
this.
Still don't know if he doped, but his side is looking better and
better with every investigation and court decision.

I'm not a lover of Lance, but it'd be nice to see Pound get
[censored]-slapped over this one. Pound is also the guy with the
international press connections in this case. I wonder if Pound himelf
is the "key source" of last September's story in L'Equipe. I never
thought that before, but today's fiasco makes me realize that it would
make a hell of a lot of sense.

I don't think you guys have a clear view of what's going on. Consider the
NEXT article "David Millar, who confessed to having used EPO to win his 2003
World Time Trial title in Hamilton, will be able to race again."

1) Did the EPO have ANY effect on his performance?
2) Did the race win in Hamilton have anything at all to do with his
"increased performance"?

This is what is known as the Big Lie.

First you convince everyone that using EPO boosts your performance despite
the fact that Miller may very well have been at or near the 50% limit to
begin with and even taking EPO may not have had any effect let alone
provided any performace enhancement at all.

Then you move from the claim that EPO boosts performance to the fact that
all drugs boostg performance, that all athletes cheat, that even having
raced a bicycle professionally is proof of guilt.

Then you just say, "Professional bicyclist, (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)" in
order to blacken anyone's name.

So is it your claim that Franky Andreu was clean? That he had never used
drugs? He WAS an professional cycle racer so by your own postings HAD to be
a doper himself. No honor among thieves is it now?

The court records aren't available to just anyone. This is something that
could be pretty easily traced.
