Huh? I counted seven dubious achievements WADA pointed out in the
Vrijman report.

1. Vrijman got the date of WADA's creation wrong. By four years. No
biggy, but hardly confidence inspiring.
2. Vrijman didn't ask or report where the doping forms that identified
Armstrong came from, even after UCI acknowledged they gave them out.
Doesn't that matter?
3. Vrijman quotes no rules or legislation that WADA, Pound, Equipe or
anyone else are supposed to have broken. (Jeez, even a cat 5 knows you
have to know the rule you're protesting about.)
4. Lance has 'missed' the deadline to file defamation action against
WADA and L'Equipe. (Or maybe he meant to?)
5. The UCI neglected to give Vrijman his mandate and terms of reference
until he asked for them.
6. Vrijman waited 3 months after he got his terms of reference to send
two letters to WADA, which they answered with two box-fulls, unlike
what is said in the report, then gave them no opportunity to address
his accusations.
7. None of the quotes in the report, taken from media reports, were
confirmed with the source.

Agreed. I don't see Wada addressing any of the substantive issues
raised. Just denials, accusations, and attacks, all of which are
typical of the behavior of Wada and Pound. I think the UCI is a mess
too, but they are better than Wada at this point. Not by much though.
Calling on a group like the IOC to clean things up is a joke after all
their scandals and corruption. The whole thing is a disaster.

He was definitely in my mind along with the bribery/vote buying stuff
surrounding the Salt Lake games in particular, along with the judging
scandals.
They've been a mess for a long time.

Kinda ironic that the guy who investigated Salt Lake corruption, and
caused several IOC members to be booted, is Pound. Almost sounds like
you're welcoming the guy ;-)!

Not quite. They say the samples were positive, but then they say that
they are not required to follow the accepted protocol because it was
done for research purposes. How can you say something is positive if
you do not follow the proper protocol? Let's see if WADA actully sues.
