  1. Good day everyone.

I'm curious/wondering if someone can help to clear an issue.

There are many different stories of how Green Tea helps to promote
weightloss and how good it is for you. But I can't help to shake the
    love for coffee.

Does Green Tea in fact promote weightloss, and inversely does Coffee do
    the opposite.

If anyone can clear this please let me know, I'd appreciate it.

None of that will make much difference. You need to eat less or burn
    more. End of story.

You know what promotes weight loss? Eating less and exercising more.

    Both will suppress appetite, slightly.

Both will increase energy expenditure, slightly.

They do it by different pathways.

Neither is magic. As stated by others, eat less and exercise.

  5. Thanks guys - I appreciate the feedback on it. People talk and
sometimes your not sure who to listen to.

    Cheers

Why listen to your friends when you can turn to the anonymous trolls on a
message board. That makes sense to me, I actually do the same thing too.

I'd hope that "anonymous trolls" would be more fitness sauvy then my
    friends 🙂

The only bit of info I'd add is that one gets used to caffeine - getting
off of it for a few days or a week from time to time will cause it to be
more effective when you do use it.

Well... if you are willing to accept, headeaches, constipsation, depression
    and irritability...
I tried to stop several times.

Caffeine is a very acddictive drug.

I quit cold turkey from a habit of 4+ cups of coffee per day on the
advice of my Gastroenterologist. I had a 2 week headache but it was
    somewhat controlled with Ibuprofen.

I've never looked back and coffee is now nothing but a rare treat.

Constipation is easy enough to fix and I don't recall being that
    irritable. Just tired.

I don't imagine you used the George Thorogood method.

Would you like some cheese with that whine? 🙂

Like Om said, it will take a few weeks but you'll be better off in the
    long run.

<lol> No, no beer... I prefer wine but after work. ;-)
Lots of fresh veggies does the trick. Or, one of the best fiber sources
for many is an ear or two of fresh corn on the cob......
