  1. Does anyone know where I can find low-carb recipes made with drained yogurt?
    Thanks, AK in PA

  2. If you Google "Yogurt Cheese Recipes" tons of stuff comes up. I add
anything I would normally add to sour cream, cream cheese or whizzed up
cottage cheese. A little Uncle Dans Southern dressing,or salt, garlic
powder, sundried tomatoes etc. My fav is Splenda powder, dried
strawberries and smear it on a rye cracker. I also add salt to it and
shake it in a hearty bunch of salt free Mrs Dash. I especially like the
tomato garlic and basil mixture they make.

I also mix it with other cheeses like the tub of smoked cheddar Kaukana
cheese to cut calories but add a tangy zing.

Its great in a chicken fajita or burrito just that way it is after
draining it. I dont do flour well so low carb tortillas aren't an
option anymore ( they gum up real bad in my pouch)but I do have one
small corn tortilla painted with it and some flavored sauted chicken
tenderloins and mushrooms. I have even made burritos with it using
refried fat free beans mixed with hamburger garlic, cumin, and salt
with enchilada sauce and drained yogurt as condiment on it.

Use it anywhere you like the other white stuff. Nothing mixes with
salmon like cream cheese though so forget using it with the salmon. It
is just to tangy for that IMHO

For this one you can make the crust with alomonds, splenda and butter
from Myras cheesecake recipe instead of the graham cracker crust:

Think food from India. I think it's called paneer. They use pressed
yogurt cheese in various curries. Not low carb when served on
rice but you can drop the rice.
