For members of the Rambler's Association.
Christine Elliott (using the name of Christine Large) was (?still is) a
Director of the Bletchley Park Museum Trust. During her time there some
contentious and, to some, unwelcome decision have been made. Land has been
sold off, buildings demolished, volunteers have left. One, in particular
who dared to cross her was banned from entering the site - even to continue
his work vital to Bletchley Park. I was, therefore, a little alarmed to
learn that Christine Elliott (Large) had been appointed as Chief Executive
of the Ramblers' Association.
The following is a quote (with permission) from Paul J Bell who is closer
than I to Bletchley Park. "Ms. Large's performance, or lack thereof, whilst
at BP, demonstrated a profound proclivity for the Taurus [bull] by-product
as opposed to actually accomplishing anything useful to the cause. I think
the general opinion is that whatever new position she may have garnered was
done by [censored] rather than by pointing to actually results at BP. ... She
was never very popular and her decision to essentially ban Tony S from the
park exacerbated an already bad situation."
