And there are lots of people who think the moon landings were a hoax
and 9/11 was carried out by the CIA.

I don't suppose there's any chance of keeping all this stuff in one
thread? Makes it easier to follow. And for those so minded, to
    filter out.

Now you're just being silly. Of course they were a hoax. It was all a
set-up by the Clangers to ensure that once mankind had got the idea that
there was nothing on the moon (no, not even mouldy cheese) we'd leave
well alone and give the soup dragon and the wotsit chicken some peace.
    And what's more, it worked.

What?? Do you mean they weren't?

    David.

Actually, IMO, this is a valid subject for uk.rec.walking, no matter what
you may think of Mr MacMillan. If indeed it shouldn't be used for politics,
why is there such political discussion about right to roam, should
Blah-de-dah be a National Park, walkers with swiss knives..etc.

Many of the rights to walk in this countryside were as a result of the
1930's Kinder Scout tresspass - very political - is this subject not to be
discussed? There is a large over-lap of hill walking and Politics (whether
national or local council) involved in everday life.

BTW, I hate politics and very rarely vote!

I don't object to politics per se - it's the politicians who make
Politics with a capital P so tedious.
