    Not baqk in the Cairngorms as yet, just some fresh snow. Forecast for
    some frost in Glens should kill them off for a while.

    Yep - just back from Glenmore where it was -4C at night. Not a midge to
    be seen!

    Definitely not out today - too windy and cold with snow showers in Glen
    Ey (near Braemar) today. In fact it was frosty in Aberdeen this
    morning so if this cold weather continues they wont appear for a while
    yet.

    Frost or midges. I think I prefer the frost.

    Looks good with all these frosts....

    Unfortunately the wee sods that got me when I was freeloading on
    Ardmamurchan (without a rangerover) have probably survived due to
    being near the coast.

    Oh I have since found some ticks - joy!

    This weekend midges out on the sheltered side of the Youth Hostel
    buiding at Torridon despite the cold and inclement weather. Looks like
    the frosts in the Glens haven't been hard enough to kill them off.
